Origin of the Company Name

The name "Sankyo" was originally suggested by a director from Mitsubishi Monsanto Chemical during the company’s founding. It was chosen to reflect the spirit of cooperation among the Mitsubishi companies that helped establish the business. With this shared commitment in mind, the company was officially named Sankyo Kasei Sangyo in 1962.
